How to Calculate Driving Range

Knowing your driving range helps prevent running out of fuel and plan stops on road trips.

Range = Tank Size ร— (Fuel Level รท 100) ร— MPG

Example: 16-gallon tank at 50% fuel in a 25 MPG car: 16 ร— 0.50 ร— 25 = 200 miles

Average Tank Sizes by Vehicle Type
