Asphalt sealcoat coverage depends on surface condition. Smooth, well-maintained driveways: ~90 sq ft per gallon. Fair condition with some cracks: ~70 sq ft/gal. Poor/rough surfaces: ~50 sq ft/gal. Most manufacturers recommend 2 coats for optimal protection.
A 5-gallon bucket covers 350β450 sq ft (one coat). For a typical 2-car driveway (600 sq ft), plan on 2 buckets for 2 coats. Apply in dry weather above 50Β°F, and allow 24β48 hours between coats.
