๐Ÿ’ก How to Calculate Concrete Curb Volume

Concrete curbs are simple rectangular shapes: length ร— height ร— width = volume. Standard residential landscape curbs are 6 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Street curbs are typically 6 inches tall and 6 inches wide with a 12โ€“18 inch gutter pan.

For curved sections, measure along the inside curve. Add 10% for waste on curved layouts. Use 3,000โ€“4,000 PSI concrete mix for curbs exposed to freeze-thaw cycles. Extruded curbing machines can pour continuous curbs much faster than hand-forming.

A 50 ft landscape curb, 6 inches tall ร— 6 inches wide: 50 ร— 0.5 ร— 0.5 = 12.5 cu ft = 0.46 cu yd. That is about 21 bags of 80 lb concrete.
