💡 How to Estimate EV Range

EV range = usable battery capacity (kWh) × efficiency (km/kWh). Not all battery capacity is usable — manufacturers reserve 5–10% as a buffer. So a 75 kWh battery may have only ~71 kWh usable.

Efficiency varies: compact EVs achieve 6–7 km/kWh, midsize sedans 5–6, SUVs 4–5, and trucks 3–4. Real-world efficiency is typically 10–20% lower than manufacturer ratings due to highway speeds, climate control, and driving style.
