π‘ Understanding Baby Growth Percentiles
Growth percentiles compare your baby to a reference population of healthy children. A 50th percentile weight means your baby weighs more than 50% of babies the same age and sex. The WHO standards used here are based on breastfed infants worldwide.
Z-scores express how far a measurement is from the median. A z-score of 0 = 50th percentile, +1 = ~84th, β1 = ~16th. Values between β2 and +2 are considered normal range.
