The PFT has three events each scored 0-100: upper body (pull-ups or push-ups), core (crunches or plank), and cardio (3-mile timed run). Maximum total: 300 points.

Class ratings: 1st Class (235-300), 2nd Class (200-234), 3rd Class (150-199), below 150 is a failure. Pull-ups score higher than push-ups. Minimum standards vary by age and gender.

Male, 20 pull-ups, 80 crunches, 21:00 run โ‰ˆ 250/300 (1st Class).
